Culture is the absolute bedrock of all school success. The issue is that too many people conflate culture and climate and focus on being nice instead of kind. Kindness means having the courage to engage in the meaningful conversations that will move individuals, teams, schools, and districts forward. This academy will provide the practical tools necessary to do just this.

In this academy the participants will create their own definition of school culture after reading varying articles; analyze their current school culture through a research-based lens; evaluate their ability and willingness to engage in meaningful discussions with peers, colleagues, and supervisors; and critique examples of healthy school cultures as it pertains to different aspects of the continuous improvement process.
